Animals in winter—always a challenge. But how fortunate we are to have running water! Heat lamps! Insulation! Great outerwear! Snowblowers! Electricity! How did our grand- and great-grandparents manage to survive during the winters without all these amenities? What a hardy lot they were—helps me keep things in perspective when I am trudging through drifts or slipping on ice. We are certainly blessed!
